About Us

The MAXIMUS Fitness Accelerator is the brainchild of Jamie Mueller, a former NFL Player for the Buffalo Bills.

With his extensive experience in peak performance and over 30 years in biotech, Mueller brings a wealth of knowledge to the design of this innovative fitness device.

He was the 78th pick in 1987, drafted by the Buffalo Bills from Benedictine College, Atchison, KS. He played from 1987 to 1992 and was forced to retire due to a career-ending neck injury.

He was one of the fastest and strongest NFL players. He lifted 1,865 Ibs for the powerlifting triple, squatting 700 lbs., deadlifting 700 lbs., and bench pressing 465 Ibs. Mueller was clocked at a 4.35-second 40-yards.

In his post-NFL career, Jamie worked in biotech within acute care medicines, investing over 30 years in biotech and the learning cardiorespiratory system, which led to MAXIMUS.

PATENTED MAXIMUS DEVELOPMENT

Experts within the RMT (Respiratory Muscle Training) world have postulated that a device used during practice, conditioning, and HIIT training, which includes sport-specific ventilatory demands, would likely provide the best possible outcomes. This is precisely what we have experienced with MAXIMUS development.

With MAXIMUS, hypercapnic training involves deliberately increasing carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels in the body while exercising and breathing against resistance in a controlled manner. Because you are exhaling against resistance, you can not blow off the CO2 you could without breathing against resistance. The goal is to enhance the body’s tolerance to CO₂, improve oxygen efficiency, and strengthen respiratory function.

Only MAXIMUS is designed with DART Technology and Dual Airflow Resistance Technology. DART provides resistance, both inhaling and exhaling. Thus, the added hypercapnic benefit of breathing against resistance. 95% of devices afford users resistance only during inhaling. None of the devices are designed for use during exercise, nor designed for the hypercapnic benefits, which are game-changing.

Ultimately, hypercapnic training will increase lactate threshold, increase VO₂ max, and improve recovery by optimizing oxygen utilization and reducing fatigue. It also enhances capillary density and mitochondrial efficiency, improving overall performance. Additionally, it can train the nervous system to remain calm under stress, improving focus and resilience in competition.

VO2 Max is the single strongest predictor of mortality. The higher your VO2 Max, the longer you are predicted to live. It may also support cognitive function by increasing cerebral blood flow and promoting neuroplasticity.

MAXIMUS acts as a force multiplier for those seeking longer healthspan and athletes looking to MAXIMIZE results with MAXIMUS!
